Erase Slice Cut Remove Option

I am struggling with creating an image and then cropping down to size.
I would like to be able to create something then trim/crop/slice/erase some of it.
For example if my artboard is a landscape rectangle.
I finish my design.
I want to be able to use a square as a guide and remove everything outside of that square.
For example, a regular cutting tool in a photo editor.

Hi! Try selecting an image and pressing Enter - it will enter the photo cropping mode. There are several handy tools available there. I've recorded a video for you, hoping it will help:

When I hit enter. These are the tools that pop up. I am not able to find the ones you have....
Could you please share the file you're having issues with?
