Guidelines to Lunacy community:
  • Always credit the author of the content you are sharing.

  • If your content is inspired or based on someone else's work, make sure to credit the author of the original.

  • Do not share inappropriate content (spam, pornography, illegal activity, graphic violence, etc.).

  • Pay respect to other users. We are building a welcoming community and will not tolerate any kind of hate speech, offensive language, harassment or threats.

  • Community admins retain full discretion to remove content that violates any of the above rules.

    I value and appreciate this program and its developers because it is open source. Its also one of the few or only infinite canvasses that allows you to work offline and save your work locally.

    I also understand that you are a small team and you require financial means to continue. I do not have any issues with that. I personally have no need for cloud or AI. If I could purchased a license to support you I would.

    My concern? Roughly in the past year all updates seem to have been minor incremental versions that focus on AI.

    These forums are filled with endless requests and suggestions from personal needs. Its unrealistic you could ever fulfill their needs, let alone the most basic UI/UX functionality. I could go on endlessly about the lack of features such as dragging and dropping a nested element into a folder with the mouse, which you cannot seem to do.

    That is my concern. At this rate how can there be realistic expectations of improvement in the software? What about potential financial issues? I am not looking a gift horse in the mouth. Lunacy is perfectly usable, but its not very efficient nor intuitive and I don't expect you to be Adobe or Figma, but at this pace... how will there be meaning upgrades to the core of the program?

    I will be donating to you, yet I don't know how that will change my concerns.

      1. Could you please describe in more detail the UX issues you mentioned? Layer moving in and out of groups is currently working — or did you mean something else?
      2. I understand that from the outside it might seem like we’re only working on AI features, but that’s not the case. In fact, only a small part of the team is focused on AI. The app is actively developing, but we’ve taken on several major changes that prevent us from releasing until all remaining bugs are fixed. We’re working to improve performance and stability, and we’re also actively developing the web version.
