There is only a "Mask" option, and it masks the underneath shape. Is there a way to apply an opacity mask? Adding a black and white gradient to the mask doesn't work as an opacity mask.
Unfortunately, we’re unlikely to change this feature. Yes, it doesn’t work the same way as in Photoshop or Illustrator, but we just have a approach, which is a bit different. If you have any other questions about this feature, I’ll be happy to answer and help.
As you can see in my video, I draw a pink square, duplicate it, add a black and white gradient to the duplicated one, select both, and create a mask (alpha). However, it doesn't show the top half of the pink square.
Thank you very much for the video. It helps to identify the problem much faster. To use a gradient for mask transparency, you need to lower the gradient stop’s opacity to zero, not just make it white. In the video below, you can see an example. I hope I was able to help you.
Many thanks for the video and your time. Maybe I don't understand "Opacity Mask" in Lunacy!
There is a standard way in graphic design apps that by adding a black and white mask to an object(s), you can create an opacity mask to fade the object(s) (black conceals and white reveals). I apply an opacity mask in Photoshop and Illustrator as I showed in the video.

Hi,
Have you tried selecting the Alpha option for the mask layer in the right panel?
Yes, I'm familiar with the alpha channel!

Can you do it in Lunacy?
