Ability to create/use guidelines
Guidelines are a must-have feature for any design tool. Here's a few suggestions:
- Dragging from a ruler will create a guideline for that axis.
- Double-clicking anywhere on the page will create a guideline.
- Dragging a guideline will change its position. They should also snap like any other object.
- Double-clicking a guideline will open a menu to set the exact position, and a angle - angled guidelines are a really handy feature.
- The cursor will snap to a guideline like it will to the grid.
- Add a option to the right-click menu, 'Convert to guidelines' which will create guidelines with positions and angles same as the object's edges. This is a feature in inkscape, for example.
