Emojis do not work properly

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Copy US flag emoji here.
  2. Create a text box.
  3. Select text.
  4. Paste emoji.
  5. Get the screenshot below.

Troubleshooting

  • I first thought that might be the flag in black and white but pasting a pencil causes the same result, which means that it is maybe about all the emojis.
  • Pasting pencil first actually worked but the pencil is black and white, however, pasting US flag as second character has broken all, causing similar thing as above screenshot.
  • Changing the font does not solve the problem unfortunately.

    Hello!

You should use emoji supported by Noto font family or some other font family you installed manually or got with Lunacy.

Emoji from different OS's cant be used freely outside the OS they are from. It's the point of license agreement that don't allow us to distribute Microsoft/Apple/Some-other Emoji fonts for using by our community with out any limitations.

But, you can use any emoji fonts installing it to your system. It'll be the point of your personal interaction with emoji owner. We're not regulate or restrict this kind of relationships.

Your Pencil for most of basic fonts in Linux will be ✏
